I am planning to get a Hilift (Hilux) and have been going over and over the instructions...

I have a Jugg2 and a TXT-1 and witch a bit of twisting and turning I can get the tranny out of one of those in about 5 mins

but the hilift one is a lot more complicated and it looks like most of the truck needs to be disected to fix a spur gear... especially the one in the transfer case!

but I want one still

It's a bit of a downside because like the semi, everything is built around the transmission. Some people have modified the spur gear cover by cutting it in half so you can just remove the top portion. That way you can get the motor out without dissasembling the entire truck
