I am using slick50 in mine. Works fine, just leaks because i didnt seal the trans. Im thinking about making some case seals out of some thin automotive gasket. rick-out

The oil must be very light as much as better. Heavy oils will difficult the shiftgear and will be an extra charge for the motor.

I use Marvel Mystery Oil in all my vintage 3spd transmissions. It's a very light oil and I've had no problems, other than the case must be sealed to prevent leaks. Even with seals, I keep a drip pan (old 3m electrical tape container) under each truck between runs to be safe as there is still some seepage around the output shaft bearings.
