Ya, the site looks great so far!

I myself don't own a 3spd yet, but I want to. At some point I hope to get a king hauler and a highlift.

Nice site, good to know Tamiya is showing a strong support for the High Lift. Hopefully this will mean further developements.

I believe with enough positive support for this site, future developments are a very likely possibility! :Tamiya1:

So what do yall mean by "future developments"? as in more kits containing the 3speed? Or maybe even the development of say a 5 or 6speed? (what kind of controller would ya use for that??!! lol)

More 3spped trucks would be cool though.

And even though I'm a Ford guy, I'd like to see the High Lift chassis released with the Clod body. It'd definitly be a warm welcome with Chevy fans.

Hello from the UK,
nice, clean and uncluttered look to the site.
I hope it turns out to be a great Tamiya 3speed resource.
Best of luck with it.

BTW, love the smilies :first:.

Yup, this site is uber cool. Just like what they say. Uncluttered, clean and simple.

How many mods do we have? Who is who. I see familiar names.

Hi there, great to be here. I was wondering if there is going to be a section for Hilux or Blazer owners, I know they are mostly the same as Bruisers or Mounty's but there are some differences too.

My comment pertains to 3-speeds since it is relative to the site. I can't imagine Tamiya releasing a 5 or 6speed R/C car, but I can't say they wouldn't either. Positive feedback from this site is justification for us to tell Japan that new products of this kind (3-speed trucks) will be supported by enthusiasts.

Hi all, was looking for a while how it was with this site. And now it's live :) So I immediately registered.
I'm on tamiyaclub also known as monster_beetle, and a scale4x4rc as Vapex.eu

Hey everybody! I see a lot of familiar names out there. Glad to be part of a brand new site with my brand new still in the box highlift. I want to know what I want to do with it so I don't end up hacking it up so I'll be reading closely before I build. Now let's test out a smilie:

AHHHHH YESSSSS!

Hello everyone! So good to be online here - Thank you Tamiya America!!!

I can't tell you all how happy I am to see this forum created. Nowhere else would be a more fitting place to become the epicenter of the Tamiya universe. My hope is that this can be THE place to go to for fast, friendly, and accurate information about Tamiya's massive line of products. Here's to the success of T3S!

About Me:

I've been obsessed with Tamiya static and RC models since I was very young (like many of us here ;) ) - Nearly thirty years now! I was an avid modeler early on and was naturally drawn to the apparent quality that Tamiya kits exhibited both inside and out. My first RC car was an ORV Mud Blaster, but I had some experience with a friends Hornet and Monster Beetle before I saved enough money to buy my own setup. Since then I've never been without a shelf full of 'projects' and 'queens'

My current collection includes many of the mid-eighties classics that I obsessed over as a kid, and many of the 90's rally and touring cars that held my attention through my adolescence. Some I've had since then, most I've collected since the online auction revolution. Yup, guilty as charged: I bought a lot of my childhood dreams as an adult. But hey, we all have to have a hobby, right?

I'm also a HUGE fan of the 3 speed trucks - My first being a Mountaineer I bought in 2003, and more recently the F-350 High Lift. (As you can imagine I'm elated about the announcement of the newest Toyota Hilux release!) My Mounty is still a work-in-progress, but the High Lift is very complete and a regular runner. Some of you may have seen it before; It's the rig that was awarded 'most realistic' by Tamiya in the Ultimate Build contest last year.

So that's my story in a nutshell - Another Tamiya-nut like the rest of ya! Glad to be here and I hope to meet some of you soon - Especially those in the Bay Area - Anyone up for a run let me know :yourock: Cheers!

Great new site, and one that doesn't log me off every five minutes!

Have just entered the world of Tamiya 3 Speed's thanks to Tamiya's superb Hi-Lift and this site i'm sure will provide me with all the information i could ever need.

It's good to see some members of other forums registering, I have been a member of tamiya club fo about a year now, and im sorry to say that it's just not floating my boat any more.(sorry chris)

Just a thought for an addition to the forum board, I know we live in a very dodgy world these days but how about a For Sale/ Wanted/ Trade Section?

Other sites have them and it could be a worthy addition, I'm all for setting a post limit before you can post an add, (to aid security) and stop unwanted scammers.

Having looked around the forum and cant see a section, point me in the right direction if there already is one.

just my two pennies worth.

Regards

Dready

Positive feedback from this site is justification for us to tell Japan that new products of this kind (3-speed trucks) will be supported by enthusiasts.I'm glad to see that Tamiya USA is atleast listening to those of us who really want more trucks like the High Lift. In fact the web site that I co-own is only in existence due to the fact that Tamiya produced RC cars like the CC01, TLT and High Lift. Without those basic trucks http://www.scale4x4rc.us wouldn't exist. Scale 4x4 R/C is a direct product of a small niche (but growing) of R/C guys who like that idea of an R/C truck looking realistic and not cartoonish. With products like the CC01 (discontinued????), TLT (discontinued?????) and the High Lift, we've been able to satisfy our needs for realistic R/C vehicles!

Well, now that its official:
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58397

See, didn't I tell you that positive feedback would end up in more product?

TLT-1 kit is discontinued but parts are still readily available. I don't believe the CC-01 is completely dead yet (we will post updates from Japan if any new kits are released).

Glad to see that Tamiya put a site up for all of us that share the same interest in three speed models. I see some very experienced modelers have joined. Great!!! They have a lot of knowledge to impart to the rest of us. Site looks great, now let's fill it up.
